  • Hands-on COO, CEO and Turnaround CEO

  • Coaching industry innovator

  • 3rd generation entrepreneur

  • I know what it’s like from your side of the desk - the challenges you face and the decisions you grapple with, what wins you’d like to see, and the sacrifices it will take to get there. I know the significance of your bottom line, I know what it’s like to build and lead a team, and I know what’s running through your mind on your drive home from work.

FOUNDER, AT THE CORE

  • Some of my earliest memories involve a family member grappling with the unique decisions that business owners face. As a third-generation entrepreneur, I’ve been learning those navigational skills since grade school.

  • I spent the first 15-yrs of my career as COO of a rapidly growing architecture firm, and facilitating our weekly leadership team meetings — where we discussed and weighed every decision.

  • I have a degree in Psychology from Loyola University, a certificate in Skilled Facilitation from Johns Hopkins, and am certified as a CoActive Coach by The Coaches Training Institute.

  • And for the last decade, I’ve been providing on-call decision support for startup founders and entrepreneurs, facilitating strategic conversations for teams and boards, and upon occasion, something I have jokingly referred to as “Business Couples Counseling,” — except that work, is no laughing matter.

I’ve seen every stage of business development - from the startup challenges, to the growing pains and victories, to the daunting gauntlet of M&A.

I can quickly make sense of tough situations.

And I have a knack for separating the truth from fears and fiction, and a keen way of discerning and synthesizing the core issues that keep people - and their organizations - from moving forward.

If you’d like to explore working together, I work with a small number of 1:1 clients, facilitate leadership conversations and convene monthly roundtables for entrepreneurs.

I am co-host So, Here’s My Story… a podcast built from real, honest, business stories with poignant take-aways and plenty of humor. You can also find me at the mic as lead singer of The Wafflers – and if you ask nicely, I might tell you about the time I won 1st place in a Truck Pull.
